課程概述 |
Fungi play essential roles in forest ecosystems by recycling of dead wood and leaf litter, as symbionts of roots as well as pathogens of plants and insects. The diversity of fungi is poorly known so that not only new taxa but also new interactions are continuously discovered. | |

課程目標 |
Using actual publications dealing with the roles of fungi in forest ecosystems for report and discussion to deepen insights to the actual systematics of fungi and their interactions with other forest organisms. Critical discussion about how far newly reported interactions substantially change our understanding of fungi in forest ecology. | |
